Hello, I'm Lilly Higgs!
I'm an 18-year-old girl born and raised in Louisville, Kentucky. I live in a historic farmhouse with my parents, Bill and Liz, my brother, Matt, and a large number of animals that come to visit!
I graduated from Christian Academy of Louisville, Senior Class of 2007 on June 1, 2007. I will be attending the Savannah College of Art and Design in the fall, majoring in Illustration and Sequential Art, and cannot wait to become part of the SCAD Class of 2011!
Ever since I could grasp a crayon in my stubby little fist, I have been drawing. I taught myself to draw through continuous practice, from doodling on the back of pamplets to staring at The Lion King and trying to draw by sight. And as long as I have been drawing, I have been telling stories. As a child, I would create little universes for my drawings with convoluted, intertwined storylines.
With each passing year, my writing and artistic skills grew When I entered High School, I taught myself to sew through a lot of trial-and-error fiddling with scraps of fabric. Through my own research, I plucked apart HTML and basic webdesign to create websites and galleries.
Now I create my own digital artwork, armed with my tablet, Photoshop 7, and my imagination. I run a small online business sewing contemporary doll fashions, and I operate an online webcomic, Chaos Theory. I love where my art has brought me so far, and cannot wait to see where it will take me!
